Sometimes you’Re lucky and WinXP SP2 install CDs will recognize the controllers right from the start when installing, but in practice, and especially with Asus boards’ Silicon Image controllers, I’ve always had to use the extra floppy disk to feed the drivers.
I would still like to find the Manual for this board sara. So my best guess is something is seeing the drive. Now that the drive is installed, it doesn’t show up anywhere in cmos. Sara posting on our computer help forum, you must register.
The time now is Home Help Login Register. At least it’s showing something.
Beedub Topic Starter Posts 91 Percent: If I remember my a7v8x correctly, there are 2 sets of sata headers one of which is the raid controller. Just in case there are more little goodies to check on. Everest has managed to find it, but only reports half of the available space.

Fri Dec 07, 5: If the MB didn’t come with the drivers, you can download them from the Asus website. Now I can get some sleep! Let’s hear it for being stubborn! I think I ended up using the black headers, not the red ones. Default setting is disabled. Back to the search. Should I remove it?
